ATL, but rasied in DMV
Have you ever been in love?
All jokes aside, it's never about the price of the ring in the long-run.

Now I'm thinking about all those cats who wounded up divorced, and lost the house, and wounded up still paying their ex money to have another dude sleeping with her in his old bedroom.

 He better had not spent more than $500-1000 at that time. There was a huge possibility that I would lose my ring eventually, just cause I’m me.
:pachaha: His ring was $50 though , inscribed and all ( it’s what he wanted)

Not gone lie, I'd want my wife to have the biggest dumbest wedding ring over all the hoes. :lolbron:
Capitalist marketing has us in a chokehold:wow:

But I'd also want my wife to have a really expensive ring, same with her taking my last name, some traditions aren't too bad.

its just carbon pressure at the end of the day.

fraction of the price, same purity, no blood on your hands. and not funding Du Bois. we're in a new age of tech. can get something real clean for 1-2k easy.

There is a such thing as too much unless you can verify Jewelry holds or appreciates in value. People think the more money you spend, the better, but that's not the case. At some point you just paying for dumb clout. If your $100k ring is worthless in 5 years, yeah that's too much.

But even then, if we're talking the average joe, most can't afford jewelry that will gain value. I'd say anything over $10k is too much.

doesn't matter, its worthless as soon as you step out the store. Better off buying the ring at the pawn shop and looking the msrp online from when it was new and telling her thats how much it cost.

This discussion reminds me of a piece written by the isolated, alcoholic blogger, The Last Psychiatrist.

This quote stuck with me.

"I'm saying that if you spring a ring on a woman which you already know is less than what she wanted, hoping that she'll be satisfied but not sure if she'll be satisfied, then the problem isn't the ring, the problem is you"

Ya'll can read the rest here:
