I forgot...did you buy in the city or the suburbs?

I was paying ~3k a month but recently moved into a 2 bedroom unit my parents bought a few years ago in the city but never used.

I moved to the burbs. Couldn't swing NYC any more w more than one kid. Private school is one thing but when those bills are going to be coming on multiples it's time to admit defeat. Lol. Did pretty well on the sale of my apartment though.

Yeah man. The first and honest answer is I couldn't afford it any more. But on top of that I grew up in the burbs. My wife is from the burbs. We had always intended to really raise our kids in the burbs any way but I may have stayed in NYC for a few more years if it wasn't so damn expensive.
