Boom bap ain’t coming back
Subject matter never changed, just the beats. Now somebody gone quote you saying “b..b..b..but those rappers back in the day balanced all that talk by talking about “real shyt tooAnd to be honest....
I know this might piss off alot of the psuedo hip hop purists here
But I do personally feel TRAP MUSIC is traditional hip hop
Just as much as Boom bap
TRAP MUSIC subject matter is no different than the mid 90s COKE RAP of NYC i grew up on
Such as Jay Z...the LOX...Cormega..Money Boss Players...Children of the Corn...Royal Flush..Nas Escobar and countless others
Nas rapped about Cartiers and fly whips and chains and fukking byatches
And Lil Baby does too
It might be in a more simpistic dumbed down melodic matter
But it's still the same shyt different toilet

i cant stand that got damn song.I used to hate trap and still do, but I found a lot of good trap too. My favorite wave is the downtempo r&b type trap. Think H.E.R- focus
I prefer trap to these nikkas that wanna be emo rappers and think they're artsy. Gimme all that Bricksquad, Franchise Boyz, P$C, Crime Mob, etc shyt over these fake deep crying nikkas.
