Without a job, anywhere from 6mos-1 year living expenses in the bank. You also have to remember you may need a car so that may increase the amount you need.

If you line up a job then 3-6 months of living expenses. Try to find a studio apartment or someone renting a room until your get on your feet. Look at short term leasing options because you may not settle in the original area you move in.

DEFINITELY get a car. You can't really walk everywhere or take the bus as easy as you can up North.

There are A LOT of white folks who parents don't like their daughters fukking with black guys but if you do find the parent that's cool with it, they will ride or die for your ass and treat you better than your own kinfolk. My cuzzo is married to a becky(still has her HS cheerleading body after having one kid with him and she's in her 20s and chill AF) and her family treats him like they popped that nikka out themselves. Nearly all of her family came out for her wedding too surprisingly.
:whew:

If you do choose to stay here, go to a city here in the south instead of any rural areas. You can still get a lot of amendments that the southern city provides but with much cheaper rent and housing options. You can still get a decently large one bedroom for 600ish in some place like Charlotte or something. Also the people in the cities aren't as fukking retarded and its usually very racially mixed. :myman:

Charlotte isn't New York or anything but its one of the best cities in the south with top tier schools if you strategically plan you housing options.:steviej:

You have to investigate the area and costs of rent, food and all that per month and then times that by two. A quick google search can get you some average numbers.

I've been thinking about this a lot more lately, ever since I visited Houston last month. A friend from high school is a teacher and moved down there 2 years ago. He was telling me how he made $7,000 more in Philly but because you don't have to pay state or city taxes there he actually ends up making more money. Philadelphia is like top 3 for highest tax burden and Houston just happens to be #2 for the lowest :damn:

Plus, you get more bang for your buck when you buy/rent down here..but you would HAVE to have a car since public transportation isn't as accessible as it is up north. When I was visited, there were "We're Hiring" literally everywhere we went. Their economy is definitely booming. I got some decisions to make :sadcam:
