Not nearly enough...

But a lot says $1K on here...if that's the case...why I be reading and seeing on TV that most Americans don't have $2K, #1K or even $500 in their accounts to allocate for emergencies?

The average person isn't doing that. In fact the average person would be fukked if their tire blew out or they got a speeding ticket. There are some that do though.

$500-1k I should be more consistent tho, it's hard cuz I love clothes :francis:

You must have a high salary saving that much living in NYC :lupe:

What industry are you and your wife in?
I'm a Strategic Sourcing Director and she's a Physician.

same reason the average height is 5'9, yet everyone who posts here is over 6'3. :heh:
That's what I'm talking about...a power couple. Those salaries allow yall to provide financial cushion. Do u and ur wife live very frugally? Any habits? Do yall go out to eat, drink, turn up, travel, etc?
We have a nice condo in Hyde Park, IL ($300k) and 3 decent cars, two of which are mine. She drives a Benz, and she could really give a damn, as I drive it most of the time. We don't spend money on frivolous things. We mostly go to Florida to visit her family, were not in Paris one week and Australia the next.

We're trying to retire very early and move out of the country so we're working towards that. Neither one of us is mentally built for working until old age. :francis:

Ok that's what I was thinking....cuz I know too many folks who are either broke, struggling or always stressed or dealing with personal finance issues....and this includes both educated and folks with no degrees

$1000 to $2000. Trying to save for that house down payment.
I may have u confused with another poster...but don't u support ur gf/wife and family all on just ur own income?? If so, doing that AND saving....gotta :salute:u on that.

When I was engaged with my fiancé and she quit her job....I was struggling out my azz.

about $50 a week.so $200-250 a month. Just about to finish up school so maybe in July (heck, i'll strict my spending habits a bit more and push it up to June) i'll bump it up to $150 once i start getting some more shifts

i still got credit and regular bills to pay off obviously but i wanna see more than $500/month and really test myself. This is going to be the first time in a long ass time i'll be able to save money while not being in school

Damn that's great bruh. Ur post makes me wanna send u my resume and ask for a look out but I don't have a procurement background...only finance, admin, metrics, quality, budget, etc.

But great plan yall have. I just cant find a woman who is about her shyt...most I find don't hold much value financially.
