When you hear noise when not even braking that mean your pad almost gone. It’s like metal on metal at that point, will fukk your rotors up


Brake job is easy conceptually but sometimes it’s hard to get them off
Honestly that’s one the few car repairs I think you can just go where ever and be cool . Get a smoker or even pep boys. Whoever cheapest

Highly reccomend on your drives that if you see a Spanish man working on a car in a yard, pull over and ask if he can do pads and rotors. Guarantee that will be 350ish. Rotors and pads aren’t brain surgery so he’s not gonna mess you up.

You don't even have to bleed them. Just pump the brake pedal a bit before you drive it.

I find it interesting how many modern males don't know how to maintain vehicles themselves.

All you need are tools, manuals, and proper safety equipment.

Brakes and rotors are a great intro to DIY car stuff. Was quoted almost $1k for all four brakes and rotors from some mechanics. I laughed and been DIY since.

Saves a ton of money, even factoring in buying a jack, jack stands, and an entry level tool set from Walmart or Harbor Freight.

Front and rear set of brakes and rotors for a 10 y/o Jap brand would run you about 275.

Labor is about 2 book hours. You shouldn't ever pay more than 550 for a full brake job.

I got them done at tires plus. 300 for parts 134 for labor. Fukk it I got the rest of my Saturday to do as please instead of being covered in grease.
