How much unpaid time do spend with the youth?

How much time a week do you spend with youth that aren't related to you? Where do you spend that time with them and What does it typically entail?

I mentor black elementary school kids in Champaign, Illinois twice a week and we take them around the city for tours and to do community service like food drives

I also volunteer teach at the boys and girls club here about black cultural history and we have them doing oral projects on blues singers and the environment of the time when blues was created during the nadir.

Neither of these is paid as I don't ask to be paid to do what comes natural and that's helping the black youth.

None. I don't even like kids. Only kids I'd wanna chill with are ones related to me. I do respect and admire youth workers and people that do such things, its just not for me.

it's seasonal but 15 hr/wk

assistant football coach (volunteer) - my friend is the head coach

i used to play so i mostly work with positional players, and then help out with whatever needs to be done

it is high school level, so anything from discipline problems to talking to kids about teamwork, etc.

In the summer I help teach sculpting at a community center. Friday it's pizza and movie night.

Well, if that counts I guess I'm around youth more than I thought. When I go to church, there's usually kids there. Does that count?
