would say that rent has almost tripled since 2008/2012 in San Diego

my rent has doubled since 2010, but also better and bigger spots

I remember thinking I could double my rent and not take a lifestyle/pay cut, but it's the fixed costs that have the lasting impact. I feel for families trying to make it work, because this rent increases plus inflation is really impacting most working class families.

I spend 100's out of my pocket, not like I have unlimited capital, or earn wild amounts of money, but compared to people pricing out groceries, there's a lot of difference.

My first apt was $800/mo in Atlanta in 2002. I was at the Concorde off Pharr Rd in Buckhead. I moved out on my own when I was in highschool still.

Was like $600. Nice apartment and neighborhood. Only thing was my bathroom was in my bedroom. So if anyone ever had to use it they had to go through my bedroom.

Damn man... $475 for a studio :mjpls:
I looked on the same apt website and it would run me $885 today :why: They went to $500 my second year and then proposed $510 the year after and I dipped. Worst mistake I ever made :snoop: That place was THE SHYT. All 1 beds and studios so there's virtually no loud ass kids and it was small as hell. Everybody minded their business, etc... I been dealing with apartment hell ever since

i think it was between 1200-1300 in like 2002-2003

that same apartment like 2800 now i think or close to it

since I left they added these garages in some areas of the parking lot but there isn't a garage for every unit so im pretty sure existing tenants gotta "rent" the garages and its not included in that new price which is crazy
