I'm like This too. After about 2005 I got over it. If it ever happens then i hope it will be great but I'm not gonna have it on my most anticipated list every year. At this point he needs to let go of Detox (which I think he has) and just drop something.

honestly, i don't even think he needs to drop shyt. dr. dre ain't got shyt to prove really
if he does drop anythin' new solo wise, ok, cool. but at this point it'd be cool just to see him make more a move into tv production or more films
or maybe just executive producin' other artists' shyt

If it had some Eminem, Snoop and Kendrick features on it it would probably sell pretty well. It would go at least platinum at some point I imagine.

He doesn't really need to drop a solo album I just want to hear some of the literally hundreds of songs he has recorded over the years. Everyone from Quik to Snoop to Game and Em are always saying how I'll the songs in the vault are but Dre is a perfectionist and blah blah blah. At least be a decent human being and give us a fully Dre produced Em album, a full Snoop album one last time and a full Kendrick album. Even if he took these songs in the vaults and just said "Snoop, pick 20 beats and let's go" but he doesn't work that way anymore.

Stay Wide Awake beat is crazy, Jist Dance or whatever it was called was ill with the Metallica sample. There were some DOPE beats on there that got wasted but there were some beats that we have just become accustomed to from Dre that 1-2 drum pattern, big slapping snare, the repetitive 4 bar layers and stabbing piano synth sounds. Round it out with some fancy shyt in the last 4-8 bars of the pitro that sounds better than we've heard for the last 4 mins and you have a Typical post 2001 Dre beat.

I think it would do huge as far as breaking streaming records cuz you know everybody would be trying to at least play it. As far as album sales, I see 100K maybe 200K first week. Ain't enough hype. The new kids almost forgot about him for the most part other than Kendrick and the headphones.

The only reference to how Detox would've sounded is Relapse. Since 2001, Relapse is the most recent album fully produced by Dr. Dre (aside from "Beautiful"). There's even several songs on there where Dre isn't using co-producers.

I doubt that, most of those songs were produced to fit Eminem. Do you really think Dre would spit over a beat like Insane had? Old times sake would be the absolute closest to what Dre would use on a solo, and he was featured on that song.
