Reggie Miller couldn't shoot off the dribble?:jbhmm:
He wasn't taking nikkas off the dribble to score often. For all the love Reggie gets, he was only a 20+ PPG scorer 6 times in his career. Compare that to Joe Johnson who did it 5 times in his career and it makes you question was Reggie an elite scorer.

Reggie would be Klay Thompson status.

Why do 90s NBA stans pretend he had Ray Allen's handles and playmaking ability?
Klay can score in more ways than Reggie, Reggie unlike Klay isn't a mental midget. Reggie's mentality was the best thing about Reggie to me. I like his mindset even more than his elite shooting skills.

No Reggie Miller couldn't do it because it happens too fast in today's NBA. Steph's release is the fastest in the game, Reggie was not shooting that quick. If all Steph curry did was run around people all game he wouldn't average 30 a game
Once again, never said that was ALL he did. But it is a substantial part of what he does, as it was the case with Reggie Miller. Just because Curry's release is quicker doesn't mean a Reggie Miller that was catching and shooting his whole career would for some reason not be be able to do it against the perceived super men of today. How did he drop 20 for a career if he wasn't good at scoring and shooting?

Indy ran a lot of plays for Reggie and they always play great team defense especially considering they couldn't run a zone. I always said what made Reggie special was his will.

Reggie Miller couldn't shoot off the dribble?:jbhmm:

He would be Brandon Rush or Ian Clark status in 2016?:jbhmm:
No he absolutely couldn't shoot off the dribble. When did you ever see Reggie pull up off the dribble from 30 feet. Or dribble off a pick and shoot a 3? That one dribble he used to set himself up in the Knicks highlight does not count. He could barely dribble.

In the Warriors offense, he would be nothing more than a spot up shooter. He was not a passer or a shot creator on offense.

Didn't say he was soley reliant on it. He can create his own shot, but you can't deny the screens are a HUGE part of his game

Curry doesn't need screens to score in the slightest. It helps their overall offense because it opens up his passing ability and it makes both defenders involved have to make a split decision on who sticks Steph because a sliver is all he needs.

Reggie would be a worse Klay Thompson

Stop it, Reggie was elite at off the ball shooting and GS does that as much as any team in NBA history. Reggie would be special on GS like he was on Indy. I would say he would be just as important as Klay but like I said, Klay can score in more ways than Reggie could but Reggie was better at scoring in his way than Klay is at scoring period.

What the hell is off the ball shooting?

But Reggie Miller put up 24 ppg on 15 shots a game in 1990 by doing mostly this though:jbhmm:

Steph Curry is a much better shooter imo, and if he definitely would be able to accomplish this.:manny:

Reggie would be a better version of Klay Thompson.

Why do 90s NBA stans pretend he had Ray Allen's handles and playmaking ability?

Who said he had Ray Allen's handles and playmaking ability?:jbhmm:

Where did this statement come from in this thread?:jbhmm:

Compare Joe Johnson's shot attempts to Reggie Miller's....then you would have the answer to your question.

Reggie Miller career high FGA is only 15.7 in 1990, and he only shot 15 shots per game in only 2 of his entire 18 year career.

Joe Johnson career high FGA is 20.0 in 2007, and he has shot 15 shots per game or more in 8 of his 16 career seasons.

What Red Curry is doing is beastly...but let's not act like a LARGE bulk of his points don't come from his teammates picking off the man that's defending him while dribbling so he can shoot 3's, or his teammates picking off the man defending him as he runs across the court 4 times to catch and shoot 3's. Little Sheryl did the same thing back in the day, just not as much
Reggie can't create off the dribble like this young man.
