Every cookout I've ever been to you pay for a plate and sometimes it comes with a beverage but sometimes you gotta pay for that seperate.

Right! My favorite memory of Charlotte was when I was doing a story at Park Road park(shoutout to the CLT bruhs) and I was covering a story that was going on out there. This family was having a cookout… maybe a family reunion and I was asking one of them if they wanted to talk to me about what’s going on. This old lady came up and asked me if I was hungry. I said no. She said get your butt over there and make a plate! I’m like yes ma’am! And went to fix a plate. They had bbq and seafood.. that shyt was good AF!
