I pay $2100 a month in Massachusetts for 5 days a week. No lunch included and they have the gall to ask for $3 for pizza every Thursday. Can’t wait to enroll in pre k but the district mandates you have to be 3 by the start of the year and my daughter was born in November so stuck paying for an extra year because my kid was born 2 months late :to:
i'm gonna have that same issue with TK - dude was born sept 6 and the cutoff is sept1 :francis:

We went with Go Au Pair. Yes, there’s a fee to the agency, and the total annual cost can reach around 20k, but when you break it down monthly and see the support you get, it doesn’t feel too expensive as you watch your child grow. We’re planning for the long term at least 2 years with our au pair since we don’t like constantly swapping people in and out.
this seems low...all figures i've seen have the all-in costs at 30-40k - agency fee, stipend, bonuses, many people are providing cars or uber stipend, and taking them on whatever trips the family goes on, plus paying for courses or other hobbies for their au pairs and of course you're providing groceries/food for them as well.

The World, but from BK
I was paying $425 a week in NYC back in 2014. My brother in law is paying almost double that now, also in NYC. It's ridiculous.

I pay $2050/month out here in Westchester.

My sis wants to stay in BK for life and is paying almost $2200/month for 3 days.

I got 1 more year until my youngest is pre-k

Running a licensed daycare seems real lucrative :jbhmm:

My friends sister in law has been an au pair for years, I know she can't leave the country so I assume she over stayed whatever visa got her here and her host family is paying her under the table now. That might be a good plan if you can coordinate and get it off. The upfront fee might be nothing if you can pay them under the table eventually for years on end

In pg county, paying $420/week for my 4yr old and they can't even provide lunch.

$235 for my infant and that's a family and friends discount.
