ehh im salary, so coming to work late doesn't really count against me. As long as you produce, some employers could care less if you come late to work

But na im hourly. Were a small department contracted to a large facility. Everyone else in the building has set schedules except us. If my boss tried to enforce a set schedule on me id be like 1) Give me a raise. 2) Give me a raise. They froze raises years ago and i get my work done. So i don't wanna hear no shyt from em'
I was late to this thread. 
That's something I gotta work on. It's like I can be on time or early but I'm usually rushing to leave the house no matter what time I start that day. I procrastinate too much and then I have like 20 minutes to get ready shower and dress before rushing to work. I am not late everyday but more often than not.

I'm late everyday. Anywhere from a couple minutes to an hour or so from when I'm "supposed" to come to work. It'd be a miracle if I showed up early. I don't even have an excuse, I just don't care about being on time.
But I'm salaried and one of the most productive people at my job. So I earned them stripes, my boss doesn't care either. I manage to come to work whenever and still be a huge overachiever. I also made sure to not put myself in a position where people are dependent on me being there at a certain time.
The more valuable you are to your employer the more things you can get away with. My last job I was just an hourly temp and I had to be there on time, so I was.

I own a business but even then being black I hate for clients and my employees to think I don't follow the example set for other besides I follow the old football saying, if I don't arrive at least 10-15 early, I am late. I hate rushing to work.
