We just had a memorial for my grandfather today. One of the old family friends took the floor and talked about how he knew my grandfather for 40 years but none of us ever see each other in the good times. Hit me hard.
Just to sit and share a cup of coffee between two familiar souls and ask what's going on is worth more than gold in the grand scheme of things.

yo this is a really good thread, im actually interested to see the results and how this pans out.

me personally, I always end up talking to at least one member my family (siblings,parents,cousins) everyday.

I try to at least call my parents twice a week, life is repetitive so I don't usually have much to say. I also live away from home and the only person in my family living in Georgia. I see them twice a year.

I talk to my Sister like once in a blue moon. We have spoken twice since new years. She called me today. I see her like once a year.

I never speak to extended family members. Sometimes on Facebook but its w.e

I try to talk to my mom at least once a week.

Dad doesn't need me to call him, once he here's from my mom I'm still alive and ok, he's good.

I see my parent at least 2x a week. That's why I moved back to Louisiana. You're going to miss your parents when they're gone, but maybe you guys families aren't as tight as mine.
