I talk to my mom when we have dinner or if she calls me and I talk to my dad if I see him at work...

Everyday with my mother and twice a week with my father.

My homies mother recently passed away with cancer and he always tells me he wishes he could talk to her again.

I honestly value every second I have with them and make up for lost time when I was younger and hard harder. I understand some parents aren't good to their children but mine Were everything I want in parents and more.

Lol that is cute. Do you think that you have benefited greatly from being raised in a household with less than 3 kids? I was talking to some acquaintances about that. I used to think that I would love to have 5 kids, but now I see myself not wanting more than 3. The one thing I loved about big families are that your siblings were usually your best friends. Looking back I feel like big families with a lot of kids benefit the younger siblings the most.

I do and my ex-hubby and I had this convo not too long ago. He is the 2nd eldest of 6. I'm the younger of 2. Our family dynamics were pretty much the same, growing up: 2-parent household, 2 incomes, close relatives to depend on. With all of that, he still felt like he grew up poor, whereas I didn't know I was poor until I moved out lol. It's way easier to spoil 2 with a 7 year age gap than it is to spoil 6 stair-steppers.

I usually talk to then once or twice a week, see them about once a week or two. Maybe see my mom a little more than my dad because she watches my son when in a pinch or when me and the wife need a break

Yes very true....from my mother and father I am the second of six siblings. I feel as if in a way you become a second parent and end up taking care of the younger ones. I was watching that show called the duggars and the older siblings tend to watch the youbger ones. Thankfully my siblings are in their teens now and there is only a 5 year old . She is completely spoiled . She got everything she wanted last Christmas. I love my siblings dearly, but I don't want to put that type of burden on my kids. Hopefully I have two boys and one girl.

I have one that is 8. I'm 32. I think I'm done. Children only get more expensive as they grow.

Do you think that your daughter feels lonely or wishes for another sibling? I used to think that I wanted my kids to have siblingsbso that they could look out for each other and have companionship. I have a lot of funny memories growing up with my sibling . One of my female mentors said that after 40 if she has no kids she will not even try to get pregnant, lol. I am glad that many are realizing the cost of kids.
I know a couple and the wife had her sevebth child which was an oops baby. After birth I guess the doctors wanted to tie her tubes. Her husband vehemently objected saying, "What if she can never have kids?". I was like :stopitslime: y'all get seven and can barely afford them. I have come to realize that for some people kids are just a pride thing especially in big families. Like look I can have a bunch of kids.

Our fam is very close, I have 17 first cousins (9 girls, 8 boys who also have kids), just from my maternal grandmother, so she usually has little cousins over EVERY SINGLE DAY, so she's not really missing out on too much. Growing up I could remember wishing for a sister, but as an adult, I realize it is what it is. She will ultimately have to come to this realization as well. Coming from a huge family makes it a little easier for me, and hopefully will for her, too. I have 6 girl cousins that couldn't be closer, even if they were sisters.
