I see what you're sayin, I dont really talk about the 90's like that i or not wanna be from this era. When i was tapin n'sync and backstreet boys on cassette from my radio. Then i got into rap when i found a scratched up ass ludacris word of mouf burned cd on the ground at school and got a cd player then i went from that to a new radio i would put all my cd's in to play, then i found out about mtvJams and would watch that for forever and learn a lot of music that way and then itunes came along. So there was a bunch of transitions and it wasn't always easy finding music for me. I was born '91.
There's some pros and cons to every era tho. Yea we had the internet earlier on than most ppl and there's information everywhere, so you gotta really know which sources are credible and take most things with a grain of salt whereas most sources of information in ur day was prolly a scholarly, credible source. I still read newspapers i still go to libraries i still read books cuz i dont wanna turn into a completely technologically dependent zombie like most ppl in this day. I still wanna get a record player and stock up on vinyls and shyt just to have a collection. I didn't get a cell phone till high school and still never had an iPhone. That's the kinda environment i grew up in. I definitely dont pretend to know everything about 90's era rappers tho there's so much music to go through and i find new dope shyt from that time period like every day
