Nikkas need to recognize how smooth this shyt is. Politics As Usual, Cashmere Thoughts, Can't Knock The Hustle, Feelin' It this is nighttime riding in the city music :ohlawd:

Best album of '96 fukk what you heard :birdman:

"Sucking me in like a vacuum, I...remember
Telling my family I'll be back soon...that was December
" :wow:

"For life, right Jigga? I keep it tight nikka"

Hopefully he does something great for the 20th anniversary. Maybe give us album versions of some of those unreleased tracks like You're Only a Customer :lupe:

GOD, I HATE reading that kind of shyt about this album on here. It's the dumbest shyt ever.

The same losers that say that shyt are the same dudes that were impressed by wayne in 08 "omg he rhymed latex and late text and safe sex..best rapper alive! " :beli:

The storytelling back and forth between Jay and Memphis Bleek is straight classic, nikkas tried to tell me 50 Cent was a better storyteller than Jay :beli:

Dope ass concept how Jay is trying to bring a young dude into the drug game, when it was Bleek's introduction and Jay was trying to bring him into the rap game.

"Hey fella I been watching you clocking (Jay-Z)
Who me? Holding down this block it ain't nothing (Memphis Bleek)
You the man nikka, now stop fronting
Hahah I like your style (Jay-Z)
Nah, I like your style (Memphis Bleek)
Let's drive around awhile (Jay-Z)
Cool nikka (Memphis Bleek)
Here's a thou' (Jay-Z)
A G? I ride with you for free
I want the long-term riches and bytches (Memphis Bleek)
Have it all, now listen to me
You let them other nikkas get the name, skip the fame
Ten thou' or a hundred G keep your shyt the same (Jay-Z)
On the low? (Memphis Bleek)
Yeah, the only way to blow

You let your shyt bubble quietly (Jay-Z)
And then you blow (Memphis Bleek)"

This nikka Jay was schooling Bleek on game :damn:

I think I went to the record store and got Chino Xl here to save you all instead of this album. Lol I was 16 and thought myself some type of lyrical miracle MC at the time though. My homeboy Aaron got it though and I was heated.

Always loved that song. Just brilliant.

I wonder how it would have come out if Shyheim were on it instead of Bleek, like originally intended. I know the lyrics would have been the same, as Jay wrote the whole thing, but I think Bleek delivered them perfectly.
