Never :ld:

I mean if you 35 y/o with no job talking about you about to start rapping when your friends have never heard you rap :comeon:

But if you are actually good its never too late, I think older rappers have more life experiences to talk about and a better perspective than teens and eariler 20s.

But you can't be old dude trying to come into the game trying to rap about the same stuff the young cats rapping about, you'll look foolish

you gotta be around 30 for rap

how about for jazz or soft rock?

u can be in your 50s i guess

I would agree, you can come into Rock, Country or any other genre as old as you want so why and more importantly WHO makes these restrictions for rappers?

Thats why I hate when I see people shytting on rappers who get into the game late cause you just don't see that in other genres.

But I guess its the same reason those genres consider their older artists legends but in rap we just consider them has beens

Ain't no too old. If it's good, drop it. There's always the DMX, Tweet types who keep pushing until they make it. Neither were spring chickens when they made it big.

Most people in rap/production have been doing this for a long time if they drop late. im in my 30s now but i started djing at 13 and producing at 22, keep it real with the integrity of what you do and it wont mater. but if you are 30/35 trying to make music that appeals to kids 15/16 etc that aint gonna work.

Just stay true to yourself and realize your lane. Ill never go gold, platinum and ill never had a hit single (unless i produce one with someone else) but i know my lane and thus i try to appeal to that.

most of these dudes are either trying to join in a lane thats already crowded creating a traffic or try to do something thats out of character.

just do you and dont worry about it

rappers are more about image then music, nobody is going to get on the bangwagon of a 40 year old new rapper

look at 50, his gimmick paid off well for him until he got old and now his music sucks as well
