The beat does not sound dated, its just its not the type of production that is not popular no more for mainstream rap. I can hear tech n9ne on that beat. The beat actually sounds like it would used for a movie or tv show. All these producers now just buy loop packs and throw drums on them now. At least scott is producing by scratch.

I’m annoyed just listening to it

Disgusting. Despite being a beast Storch was more miss than hit and that beat is a clear miss. Over the top constant piano synths with all of those nasty stock drums. That video sounds like what the Apex of Eminem production would be right when he got the call from Amaru Records to ruin that 2Pac album.

All that’s missing from that Storch beat is a Nate Dogg hook that sounds like the fake Nate Dogg on “Kush”, a lazy Rakim verse, Truth Hurts backing vocals and Knockturnal doing his creepy voice thing.
