Grew up going to church as a child and I remember asking my pastor who created God if God created us.

He gave me a long-winded answer that never actually answered my question and he never simply said "I don't know".

It went all downhill from there.

I questioned everything but God as a child. As a teenager I questioned everything. Once I reached adulthood, I settled in my heart that an explosion could not have created something as perfect as a universe where a planet would be in perfect position to grow life out of nowhere. I know it may sound simplistic in my explanation, but that's my rationale.

Y'all better give the wheel to Jesus before you drive off flat earth

The idea of there being "a higher power",I can't rock with it
If it really was there, why would it allow so much tragic shyt to happen??
Usually the answer to this question is the "God works in mysterious ways" bullshyt

Childhood..by 9th grade the jig was up on religion and I stopped going to church.

He said religion not God... Religion makes people fearful of questioning religion. It wants obedience.
Hence terms like "God fearing" and stories of damnation used to keep people in line. I don't think religion and God is the same thing
