Cruisin’
he must been the east coast version of the west coast legend mac dre...never really got into max b, but i can tell just like mac dre he had mad street respect
Nice way to sum it up. Max B is pretty much Eastcoast Mac Dre. His love and respect is highly regional. The main difference is, alot of the trends that took off nationally in hip hop the early to mid-00's via The Hyphy Wave of 2005-2006, were pioneered by Mac Dre. Alot of Max B's wave and infamy are kept alive via internet, and haven't quite become staples outside of the Intermet. Rappers still jump on the Mac Dre bandwagon when they venture out to The Bay Area. And it's going 11yrs since Mac Dre's death. I don't know how long Max B was sentenced, but he may have to die to get that Mac Dre kinda respect.

He ain't got the don sense to be the boss, Who that nikka they they talkin' 'bout, that be me of course

This thread got me catching waves. You know how you have a film on DVD or that you've seen before- that you wont watch but if it comes on TV it feels like the first time.

I realised yesterday that I've always been a fan of melodic rap. I remember burning Chamillionaire- Sound of Revenge... I was listening to it yesterday, that was really the wave before the wave. Biggavel was the final piece in the puzzle. Nowadays for melodic rap I listen to Rich Homie Quan. Thats a crazy triple threat

Probably one of my fav Max hooks
