I never really enjoyed going to church as a kid but my mom forced us to go. None of it ever made any sense to me even at a young age . I went ahead and got "confirmed" by the Church only to appease my family. But I never believed it even at age 13.

Im kinda like this as well. I believe in the overall theme's of those books.

But mankind has OBVIOUSLY skewed the shyt out of em as the centuries went on.

I think the bible was just a way to control people and also offer hope to people 2000 years ago.

But as a black man I can not and will not believe in that shyt today.

Had my phase at 16. Read books/articles by different scholars about the Bible/Quaran/Torah to "find answers".

Came to the conclusion that we'll never know the true meaning of everything so you might as well have a faith (or lack of faith) that keeps you grounded and happy.

I'm a Christian but I'd be lying if I said I'm religious.

I questioned it since my teenage years. But started showing how much I thought it was bullshyt when I became an adult and finally had a choice if I wanted to go to church or participate in that bullshyt
