I think he just found something that gave him a reason to stay in screen. The typical Jericho return over the last 5 years include vignettes, y2j nostalgia, and jobbing to losers who don't deserve to be jobbed out to(fandango, ambrose, cm punk, etc):scusthov:

Jericho is on one of the best runs of his career right now. One of the main reasons why raw is on it's greatest run in a decade.:blessed:

People questioned why he went over AJ, CLEAN, I'm 100% convinced it's because Vince wanted to make it up to him for jobbing to Fandango the previous Wrasslemania, a bum who is not even with the company anymore

Someone had better tell Tyler Breeze he's been going down to the ring with a host from Westworld.

This year is amazing, because he seemed completely done in the last few years. Boring on the mic, stale, too desparate to look young and cool.

He literally embraced the fact he is out of touch older guy and hit a fukking HR. One of the best years in his career and we need that Jericho KO match.

He's completely over-shadowed KO
Exactly. That's why this current run of his is so memorable and stands out as arguably his best, because a period of about 4 years (2012-2015) he looked completely DONE. His returns started to mean less and less and it seemed like he wore out his welcome. To see his complete 180 from that to being the most popular wrestler on Raw is dope to see.

Jericho is basically the E40 of wrestling, dude is smart enough to re-invent himself across multiple eras and decades. As a kid I was indifferent but when I went back and saw his work in Japan pre-ECW it made me appreciate his charisma and mouthiness in the ring...not to mention his unique blend of styles. Dude is basically my favorite wrestler.

When this shirt came up on eBay for like $30 I had to get it:

Definitely one of the GOATs of reinventing himself and rebounding after mediocre runs. Seems pretty self aware on when stuff isn't working.

Never the greatest at any one thing, but certainly one of the best all around talents ever.

after several unwanted comeback attempts, he's found the niche this time.

His best work in 10 years.
