How overrated is Demarcus Cousins?

Bro im FROM the area i watch all Pels games......CP3 was great down here I had as my MVP in 08, AD is AD just too many injures.....But DMC is talented but his flaws hold the team and himself back

You'll get no arguments from me about AD, but, I think it's deeper than that.

There's a reason AD is the only guy to get drafted by this organization and the only guy always injured.

Look deeper into how the Saints/Pelicans share facilities and are basically being cheap because they're owned by the same person. I think he's getting substandard medical care.


As for Cousins; you can only ask a man to do so much before you call him flawed.

My biggest issue is; he's as emotional as billed. Anytime he doesn't get a call (AND HE GETS BEAT UP and the ref let too much go) you can guarantee a bone headed play is coming up.

There's asking a center to be the defacto point guard. Excuse him for not getting up and down the court like Avery Bradley.

Cuz done buss every C ass the last ten games. Zach Randolph had a throwback 20 and 10 game against us, but, I don't see him getting outclassed all the time.

I'd love to keep him, but, probably need to trade him so we don't lose him for nothing next summer. He's a great player.

You're asking a question that is entirely irrelevant to the issue, which is WHY HAS DEMARCUS COUSINS NEVER SHOT 50% AT THE NBA LEVEL?

A better question is: why the hell is he taking so many threes?

He shot 43% and only took 0.2 threes per game his rookie year
YEAR 2 he shot 44% and only took 0.2 threes per game.
YEAR 3 he shot 47% and only took 0.3 threes per game.
YEAR 4 he shot 49.6% and only took 0.1 threes per game.
YEAR 5 he shot 46.7% and only took 0.1 threes per game.
YEAR 6 he shot 45.1% and only took 3.2 threes per game.
YEAR 7 he shot 45.2% and only took 5.0 threes per game.


So, whether he's taking no threes or 6, THE MATH says he's not shooting as well as an NBA big with his usage should be shooting in YEAR 8.

Him and AD are putting in mad work together and it's still not enough because AD has trouble staying healthy along, with it being unrealistic to play 2 vs 5 every night.

My team been there for the majority of my life. What I learned is your team will remain that until they can draft good. Then you might trade for that final piece or two. Teams that are built by mostly trades never pan out. I hate you say this but Boston would have a high draft pick to give along with Horford I guess Horford could then be moved for more draft picks
