While their console counter parts do? :lupe:

:francis:

That's one thing the PC gamer got to give credit for, once you plug that system into a 5.1- 7.1 surround sound system...
:banderas:
:banderas: there's nothing like it. And yeah, yeah we could plug the computer up through the HDMI and blaze blah but there's nothing like sitting on the couch with a ps4 controller and just wilding out!!

:what: my head set probably cost more than your TV. TV sound system is horrible compared to a good head set :heh:

HDMI

I don't think I need to post a picture of what HDMI looks like.

I would say that the best feature of HDMI is its expanded audio capabilities and its ability to improve; it is the successor of SPDIF and it can carry 7.1 PCM; no need for Dolby or DTS encoding. I have read that some games, namely those that use Audiokinetic Wwise, seem to have issues with HDMI audio connections, so this may be a reason to stick with analog or at least have the analog option available when a game does not function correctly with HDMI.

HDMI typically needs to be activated by an HDCP-compliant device on the other end (such as a TV or computer monitor) but you may be able to use an HDMI splitter (check eBay) to get HDMI to activate without connecting a monitor to the other end.

the thing is it might not...peep my post above...none of my games work so far....might be a surface book thing because it uses a microminidisplay port....I don't really care to buy a long azz HDMI cord to connect to my desktop to see if it still holds true...At the end of the day consoles don't have this problem...I know PC fags are mad :manny:It really discouraged me from buying PC games though unless it's at crack head prices

You're using a tablet without a dedicated sound card to make an argument about PCs in general? :wow:

I'm connecting my laptop to a receiver....receiver is viewable as a playback device in Win 10 and I can configure speaker set up for 5.1. Like I said previously movies work fine....boot up a game and it's stereo city. Did you not read that there are known issues with audio in games with HDMI, which is unacceptable IMHO considering HDMI is old tech by now. Maybe the micromini display is the culprit :manny: it sucks for me :mjcry: niccas acting like I wanted it to be this way. The only person that loses here is me :mjcry:

How are you connecting your PC to get 5.1?

Is anyone using HDMI getting true(as opposed to faux) 5.1 in games? I would honestly rather have it work then not, but f@gs rather troll I guess :yeshrug:
