In Bmore, we had a nice little popularity resurgence when the O's finally got good again a few years ago. Now it looks like they're heading back into a dark period and that's definitely been reflected in attendance/interest so far this season. I know usually April is poor attendance-wise due to kids still being in school, bad weather, etc., so we'll see if it picks up now that it's getting warmer.

Couple that with people getting hyped about the Ravens again due to their recent acquisitions/draft, and the sense of uncertainty/dread about the O's as a franchise in general (best player(s) bouncing after the season, GM and/or manager unlikely to return, ancient owner who refuses to rebuild) and I worry the apathy will set in again, especially if they don't get it together these next couple months or so.

It's unfortunate because the O's were the only game in town around here for a long time, and to hear the older heads speak on it, the city was really invested in them during that time we were w/o the NFL. I doubt we'll ever see that level of popularity here again.

Im bout to cash in on those cheap tickets though

Baseball is big in Minnesota...we have whats called town ball up here. It's just amateur league but it's really good baseball. Other states have it too but Minnesota does it better and bigger than any other state. Runs from about may thru September and teams play about 40 games and there are divisions all thru the state and there is a state tournament at the end. There are over 300 teams...i played from 15 to 30...just gave it up now.
