Baseball is big in Minnesota...we have whats called town ball up here. It's just amateur league but it's really good baseball. Other states have it too but Minnesota does it better and bigger than any other state. Runs from about may thru September and teams play about 40 games and there are divisions all thru the state and there is a state tournament at the end. There are over 300 teams...i played from 15 to 30...just gave it up now.
Sounds like fun, if I was a CaC, MN would definitely seem like a dope place to live

Seems like people enjoy the laid back atmosphere of baseball games rather than the actual game itself.

I think this is an American thing, over here in Canada people only care about soccer, football, hockey and basketball. Depending on which city you're in.

I always wondered what it would be like to grow up in a city where baseball is god

Going to baseball games is the thing to do in the spring/summer, people wearing baseball jerseys everywhere (not the official ones but like the shirts), baseball diamonds/fields everywhere, baseball dominates local sports talk radio and ESPN in the summer. Yeah man, probably not much different than hockey up there. It is what it is. Lot of people on the coli dislike the sport because it isn’t popular among black Americans like that but in real life, it’s up there with football. Whites and Hispanics love that shyt man

Every city I lived, Baseball was important. In Atlanta, yes, now that we are good again. YES! In DC and BMore, yes. In Houston, I guess cause they just won, it's all over the place and the stanning is extreme. Same for the Rockets stanning. nikkas take it personal.

White folks here in Atlanta love that shyt. Blacks could care less. I ain’t had one discussion about the Braves in years
I would say that older Blacks still love it and of course sports junkies who are Black still love the Braves. I ain't gonna lie, I was mad after we lost all of the international guys due to Coppy terrible GMing but he made a lot of good trades.

Baseball is HUGE in the south

It’s definitely under football but depending where exactly it can be 2 or 3 (under basketball)

In my EXACT area it’s 2 after football.

I wouldnt say huge but in the south baseball is definitely number 3 after football and then basketball.

Everything else isnt really that big here, very rarely does the south have interest in things like soccer or hockey. Boxing is probably a definite number 4, it was bigger than baseball in its heyday but 4 now.

I figured in Toronto atleast baseball is pretty popular because the Blue Jays have one of the best fanbases in the MLB.
