Baseball isn’t that big in Winston Salem or the Triad area in NC, period. Atleast it wasn’t when I was younger. It’s gotten better as the years have passed, as 2 minor league teams (Dash & Grasshoppers) have been added to the area. I would say the team most everyone roots for is the Braves.
I live in ATL now, and I’d say it’s pretty popular. We’ve got a young, exciting team to root for.

In North Carolina, college basketball will always be king. Baseball is a cool 3rd or 4th in popularity.
