When it comes to college football...is it reasonable to believe that homie could go to virtually any program (the highest bidder) and within 3 years turn them into a national championship team and flip the conference of said team, the recruiting pipeline of said region etc upside down?

A part of me thinks he can :francis:

I wouldnt say any program. But if he went to Houston tomorrow, theyd be a top 10 destination for 4 and 5* recruits. If he went to Kentucky, within 3 yrs, playoffs
so essentially any power 5 conference and he's making noise right? crazy when you think about it
he's probably underpaid

He's not a dummy doe, he aint going to like Miss St, but if he did. . . Playoffs.

It would be unfair if he was @ Texas or say Florida. Or even Georgia or LSU. I still remember what Bama was like b4 he went there. They were basically Nebraska.

Its a reason every football coach is usually the highest paid public employee in that state. They are essentially ceos of $100mil companies. And down south are more influential than the politicians.

Before Saban got there Alabama was Ole Miss status on some they'll make noise once every 5 years or so but in between be completely mediocre or subpar. They went from that to win a national title every 2 years status and in between still be in the best bowl games. Bama isn't even a top 5 recruiting state: All 50 states, ranked by their star CFB recruits. Put Saban at any big D1, well funded school in the South, Midwest, or West and he'll likely still be what he is.

i think you're wrong.

nick saban and his recruits makes these guys look good...not the other way around

him going to another school, especially if its in a Georgia, Florida, Texas, California type of state...would flip the CFB universe on its head. Recruits and coaches would go to a school off the strength of Nick Saban being the coach there. In fact...students would probably go to the school off the strength of them likely having a good football squad in a cpl years.

you'd be surprised

Kiffin is underrated. Its a reason Saban's coaches make so much. I usually think Bama's d coaches are overrated. Saban is a defensive guy.
