I wanted to go hiking over at that new national park they just added there and afterwards I was going to head over to Harpers Ferry which was the site of John’s Browns attempt slave rebellion but I heard a few horror stories about the state that is making me reconsider going there. Do any coli brehs have any experience over there? I never covered any areas there in my rate this city series so that’s why I made this thread.

I forgot where I saw it but I remember reading WV had a lot of cities that were "sundown towns". Also, when I worked in Collections we'd have to call that state quite a bit and (not to stereotype or generalize) they sounded like they were racist for the most part. I've never physically been tho.

I've been to Harpers Ferry a few times and never had an issue. It's actually a tourist spot so it's very diverse. Most of the folks there are visiting from Nova and MD. Last time I went there was before last year's election. On the way there it was nothing but Trump signs and flags :mjlol:. I was thinking to myself if have a flat or my car breaks down I'm fukked.

West Virginia used to be part of Virginia, on the Westside. But they were so racist, even the cacs in Virginia thought it was too much and kicked them out. So the Westside of Virginia had to form their own state, and that’s how we got West Virginia. Don’t bother trying to verify this, just trust me.

I travel quite a bit from PA to everywhere and was told by my grandad as a kid that when we stop in WV, we only stop at the Beckley rest stop to piss or eat, no exceptions and we leave out about 3-4am for long trips because there will be daylight by the time we get to the mountains (WV). That's what he told his kids and grandkids, that's what I tell my kids, and that's how it's gonna stay...

Before everybody had GPS me, my mom, and my aunt are driving through WV and them two are talking and forget they have the map and to tell me to exit. I get off the next exit and there are confederate flags on damn near every house and pickup truck...three black people in a big ass black Navigator, lost as fukk. I was under 21 so no guns, no knives, nothing (I don't think PA concealed carry reciprocates in WV anyway, even if was 21). I was praying we didn't break down. I was so glad we got out of there after about 10 minutes

Not one of my favorite states. I drive through there when I go up north, so 99% of the time it's to stop for gas. The people remind me of the hills have eyes

I spent the night in Charleston once, but everything was coo

I’d assume it’s like everywhere else in the south. Friendly cacs with deeply racist beliefs :yeshrug:

Back when I used to online date a pawg from WV hmu and we chopped it up. She was a huge fan of Kyrie Irving. We was talking about mudding and 4x4ing and shyt. :yeshrug:
