Spurs would have to send Gasol and Mills somewhere to get Lebron (unless he takes a paycut)

Even if that does happen I still don't think they will beat the Warriors. They can defend them as well as anyone in the NBA but they won't be able to score much. The Warriors will find a way to neutralize LMA same way they do Kevin Love. They would need another star to come along imo (PG or Boogie).

I felt like this season if Kawhi was right and in mid-season form that him, Murray, and Green was enough defense, length, and firepower to at least make a series against GS interesting. you add Brawn to that mix and they'd be a bigger threat to them than Houston was.

Just not sure he's interested in dealing with a demanding coach like Pop at this point in his career, on top of all the mystery surrounding Kawhis injury.

Makes more sense than HOU.. that’s if the math is right obviously

The HOU situation with Pringles reeks of Bron’s past circumstances:

Weak coach
Weak scheme (which will end up with him being ball dominat)

Not sure how he would mesh with two other ball dominat players (CP3, James Harden)

If he bought into Pop’s way... there could be no limits to what he could accomplish in the last phase of his career

I wouldnt call D'antoni a weak coach or his scheme weak. It's a gimmick but a gimmick proven to work and it has taken the game by storm when the personnel is correct.

It's possible. Not probable.
And even with Lebron it wouldn't make the Spurs favorites in the West.

ATL…overly
1.Pop commands a certain level of respect

You’re not going to yell at Pop. Thats going to get you pulled from the game..

2. LBJ has been in the drivers seat the last 15 years and it’s been one hell of a run but now he’s a crossroad where he either takes it up a notch or accepts a lul

A lul being I can still play my style of basketball at a very high level but my team may not compete for a championship year in/out

We all know what the definition of insanity is...

Its already been mentioned but Bron is used to playing for a coach where he can pretty much do what he, he's not going to be comfortable getting chewed out in front of other teammates and being called out in the media.

Bron respects Pop and the Spurs but from a fit perspective this doesn't seem like a good mix. I can see this relationship dissolving via Bron's cryptic tweets and Pop's post game interviews by midseason

This doesn't mean he is incapable of adjusting and playing under a coach like Pop.

"LeBron is used to having his way and won't be able to deal with Popovich's authoritarian style"

This is just cliched, group speak.

LeBron has never played under a coach on Pop's level, so how are people so quick to assume the outcome?
