How realistic is Bron to the Spurs?

Do what the Clippers did with CP3. Have Bron opt in and then trade him to the Spurs for Pau, Green, Gay. Green and Gay are expiring which is good for Cleveland.

What free agents you think the Spurs could pick up to fill out their bench and rest of the starting spots?

It's possible. Not probable.
And even with Lebron it wouldn't make the Spurs favorites in the West.

That’s depends entirely imo on how the rest of the roster shapes up if LeBron signs. LeBron + Kawhi + LMA is equal playing field vs KD + Curry + Klay + Draymond

He's not going to a stacked West. He's comfortable in the East. Two we are not sure if KL will stay in SA.
Because the Grizzlies, Kings, Lakers, Clippers, Suns, Thunder, Nuggets, Mavericks and Blazers are surely scaring people. :heh:

If ya'll don't get the fukk out of here with that West myth.

This is the most hilarious narrative. Not like he even thinks about conferences like that, but even if he did he has to face Golden State either way. So who's he afraid of before then?

James Harden? :mjlol:

Portland in the #3 seed? :stopitslime:

If he's East, he has to face Boston (who is going to get MUCH better) and Philly (who has the space to sign more players AND draft picks to trade). Both of those teams are going to be scarier next year than anyone in the West other than the Warriors.

You must REALLY like LeBron or Kawhi.

Let's say Lebron is slightly better than KD.

LaMarcus definitely isn't nearly as good as Curry.

So Kawhi is much better than Klay and Draymond combined? :dahell:

What if they get lebron and PG ?
Lebron and Paul George and Kawhi on the same roster is just...it doesn't fit.
And George wants to go to LA, I'm sure.

We still need to address perimeter shooting and the bench.
...and the Center position (long term)...although if Lebron did go to SA, you would think LMA moves to the 5 as the starter with Gasol seeing 20-ish mins off the bench

If Lebron goes to the Spurs. Gasol is gone

Gasol being gone makes me even more worried about the Center position.
Because I don't see Lauvergne as the guy to step in off the bench. And LMA has a bad knee and that could go any minute. Who do we lean on if LMA needs to sit for 3 months? I don't think you can punt a position in the NBA.

ATL…overly
This doesn't mean he is incapable of adjusting and playing under a coach like Pop.

"LeBron is used to having his way and won't be able to deal with Popovich's authoritarian style"

This is just cliched, group speak.

LeBron has never played under a coach on Pop's level, so how are people so quick to assume the outcome?

Because of how Bron's personality, Pop's personality and how Bron clashed with another all time great coach/GM in Pat Riley in Miami. There's evidence that it wouldn't work. I also have a hard time seeing Bron in year 16 being willing to change his style of play to accommodate a new system. While I do think the stability and coaching excellence of the Spurs makes them an interesting option, I don't think it's the best fit for either side

pop & riley are as different as night and day. Lebron seems to love pop and riley is more old school and hardlined in his approach. Pop doesn't seem to be like riley (he apologized to LMA last summer) i can never see pat doing that for anyone.

LeBron better than KD
Kawhi better than Curry
Aldridge better than Draymond (although there's a lot of required context in that debate)

So yes it is an even playing field talent wise even if you add Klay

(This is assuming no one falls the fukk off next season)

Also versatility is key. LeBron and Kawhi can both defend 1-3 and smaller 4’s and score from anywhere on the floor. Aldridge is Bosh 2.0 (although not nearly as good in the playoffs). It's going to be almost impossible to defend them when you're already gonna be working hard af to get looks on offense. LeBron can take less plays off on defense too now that he has 2 other scorers to help

+ Pop + maybe add a Tyreke Evans off the bench + some solid defenders and I can see them taking down the Warriors
