How Realistic Is It For African Americans to Have our OWN SEPARATE Part of the Country?

We are already dependent on them so they would definately have some type of control of it. In order for me to even see it as a possibility which is a stretch is if we were to to a mass immigrate to Africa. Just look at the majority black islands in the carribean that should give you a good indication of what a country for African Americans would be like.

Y'all remember Malcolm X talking about this? He said black people and white people will never be able to coexist. He said we should be given reparation money and our own part of land in the country for us to thrive on our own without the influence of the white man.

With that money, we'd be able to build our own schools and businesses, open our own stores and circulate money within our own communities. It'd be like Black Wall Street of Tulsa, Oklahoma but on a larger scale.

I agree with Malcolm on this because realistically, we will never be equal to the white man while trying to overcome and navigate his system of white supremacy. We will always be killed, treated poorly, mocked and given little to no justice. It's been the same for 300+ years so what makes people think it will suddenly change now?

All this marching, protesting and picket signs is cute but lets be frank, it progresses nothing. It puts no pressure on the system to do right by us because there are no consequences to a bunch of hurt black people marching in the street. Time is out for that.

But back to the original topic. I was wondering how would such a mass exodus work. I mean, would we have our own currency or would we still use the dollar? How would we get our resources to modernize our communities? Are we still going to white stores outside of our area to buy things? Would we trade with other countries? What could we offer them that would make them want to trade with us?

Is it possible for an all black mini country to be self sufficient without the help of the white man here in America?

When Malcolm talked about the condition of the "Negro" in the 50s and 60s, the government-enforced definition of Negro at that time was anyone with even a trace amount of African heritage.

Do Halsey, Paris Jackson, Drake and Mariah Carey currently qualify for the all-black country? What about immigrants from Trinidad and Nigeria?

Could you have dual-citizenship with the United States? Would Oprah and LeBron be expected to move to the new, all-black nation?

Very unrealistic. However maybe what Malcolm ment was metaphorically we could've made our neighborhoods our own country within the US.

Basically we could've created our own security (protect man, woman and child by any means when the time calls for it), we already had grocery stores, barber & beauty shops, schools (in certain regions) etc within neighborhoods.

In other words we could've expanded multiple Black Wall Streets throughout different regions and neighborhoods during that time.

There's a lot of cities with mostly blacks. Memphis, Detroit, parts of Chicago, ATL, etc. Why not build those cities up? It could be our own areas of business, schools, hospitals and housing.

I know many will clown me but AAs can get their own island nation that is underpopulated. Its VERY, VERY, VERY hard... But not impossible.


Some crazy ass cac created a micro nation in the Sudan. Micro-nations are POSSIBLE. And if a group of 40 million rallies behind such movement then who knows?


Edit: AAs getting their OWN nation would actually be a good idea.

1. The ENTIRE population doesn't HAVE to move to the new nation. Only about 500,000-1,00,000,000 of our population. That's more than enough. That nation can be used as leverage in international politics. The majority of AAs can remain in the states where we would act as a satellite group.

2. Speaking a satellite group. AAs will FINALLY have a "backup nation" similar to the Chinese, Indians, Hispanics, Arabs, Nigerians, etc. We will be able to get capital from that new nation INSTEAD of relying on non-blacks in the USA for capital.

3. Like I said we would have a "backup nation" so if shyt hits the fan here in the USA we have a new country to flee to. Especially considering Blacks in the USA and in the new country have a shared heritage/culture.

African-Americans/Diaspora never asked for Liberia which is why it ended in failure. Liberia was actually a plan to force by Whites in the New World to get rid of their slaves. More importantly we NEVER asked the permission of the indignous Liberians. So no, we can't use Liberia as an example.

Malcolm also lived in a different era of black people though, we had gangsters and hustlers of course - but we weren’t dropping each other at these 250-300 people a year rates

The biggest dilemma for black people were racists and if the animals would break out of the zoo, they’d have made it work.

All we really need to do is become the majority in a few neighboring states within the Southeast and start changing laws. Once our own independent politicians that we voted in are in high places white flight will take place. Then those states can just work together. It doesn’t have to be a “Nation” but the states can work together like one. We can have our own “New England” in the Southeast. With the Reverse Great Migration this is lowkey taking place already. Basically we build up the Black Belt and take back what was ours during Reconstruction Era. We are our own ethnic group and “nation” already. With majority of us in the region it’ll be obvious it’s ours anyway. Just like New England is white folks.

We can have Black folks from outside these states in majority black communities just move into poor white ones and take over. I see people saying we’ll turn into Natives. We have the numbers and our money longer even while they still get benefits. Even though that money ain’t sayin much our media reach is 100 times better. We have the architects to build infrastructure in the Southeast within poor areas. Just gettin in and pushin Blackness in front of white folks makes them move. shyt we can give them free one way tickets out the state. It’s possible. What we’d have to worry about is them dumping poor white mental patients on our state lines.
