Many items sell at a loss, you dont have the information to assert that.

y’all overthinking this to extreme levels. Look at your example and think about what you just said. The ring the sold you, they made the profit on. The 10k they lost is lost REGARDLESS of it being stolen. It could be lost, destroyed or anything else. They lost the 10k and nothing else is relevant after that...

Just answer what’s in front of you, y’all over thinking this to extreme levels
