It was the right ruling. He's a TE. I blame the. NFLPA for not forcing that dumb ass franchise tag out of the agreement.

All that needs to be said.He ruined his own case by calling himself a TE, calling himself an all-pro TE and going to the Pro Bowl as a TE though![]()
The Saints better win it all, next year, because he's not comin' back.

Even though it works out for us, this year, that's a corny way to lose. The fukked up thing about this is how TEs get so fukked on franchise tag money even though TEs like Jimmy catch as many passes as top tier WRs. He deserves to get paid.

I think they did him wrong. He is their best player. Is he allowed to change positions tho? I think most teams would take him as a receiver.
I don't follow your team much to know their skills so I'll have to agree since you know more. I would say the tight end position seems to be changing lately. Like its being revolutionized. More players like Graham, and gronks, that can catch passes and play the slot like a receiver. I wouldn't be surprised if this issue occurs in the future with others. Far as his blocking, is it skill or strength related? Maybe he gotta get his weight up. Still better to stick him to what he does best atleast.Yeah right, the best player getting locked down by Talib and Earl Thomas. Dude is getting by with his athletic ability. Can't block, can't use him on running down, and got no skill set at all. I would be upset if we give him 10 per year.
They will present evidence to show Graham, Vernon Davis, Antonio Gates, Tony Gonzalez, Rob Gronkowski and others increasingly split out to create matchup advantages. And, in so doing, these players are still acting as tight ends, not wide receivers. Their positioning according to scheme, they will argue, should not change their designation for tag purposes. Further, the NFLMC will drive home Graham’s official positional designation since entering the league: Graham played tight end in college, was drafted as a tight end, is listed on the roster and depth chart as a tight end, and was voted to the Pro Bowl as a tight end, etc
