*sounds like OP ready to drop a dime
:15-:25 has been touched, this shyt would be a goldmine but there is a trailing guitar sound that invades the rest of the song
Wasn't trying to brag bro.... Just saying.....I exaggerated a bit it was like 6 years ago
Yea they have dope shyt
Thread makes me miss the old ASR 10 Alchemist sound
It's not worth the legal costs to go after him. That's why most lawsuits of this type emerge years later after the record was successful
And that is how many copies?
Wu-tang also sold out in less than a milli second, or as long time as it takes for a bank to process one payment.
He only goes crazy with the samples on music that is released independently or thru small labels that don't have to worry about sample issues. Nobody is out here trying to sue...Roc Mariano, so he doesn't have to worry about that when he gives them beats. However when he works with major labels it becomes a big issue. Remember, he had to give up 100% of his publishing on Break The Bank just to get it on Q's debut album. That's how expensive the clearance was. And two years ago on DAMN you best believe that sample on Fear was expensive too, but in that case Interscope clearly was giving Kendrick and company whatever they wanted (see: the three samples on that 9th Wonder track lol).
Same with Madlib. Most of his major releases have been on indie labels that never really deal with clearances. He had to deal with it on Bandana because they signed to RCA, hence why multiple songs were apparently cut from release.
That was a little more successful than anything Alc has been involved with.
He samples mad obscure shyt that most people don't really pay attention to
That song wasnt a old obscure song either, tho.
It was made in 94. while Timbo made Big Pimpin in 99 a mere 5 years later..
If nikkaz only knew about that Japanese heat
Copyright holders can jam up your mixtapes if they wanted to, it doesn’t even matter if you are selling it or not.
