Knows what to sample primarily, if your musical palate is big enough some of his stuff isn't too hard to find out

Budgie got mad at me because I knew the source sample of one of his beatsIt really depends on who owns the records he is sampling. Maybe he does? Or someone he knows? The sources are usually very rare, but I'm sure there's support or he wouldn't be able to do this. Maybe someone bought up all the publishing for those labels (Russian, Turkish prog and funk lol)
You'd probably notice that when he's placed on other albums, that beat might be a bit more chopped up or recognizable - more of a commercial style. His ALC Records releases are more loops and the like. A lot of money comes from his vinyl and merch, and that branding
But remember, he has had industry connections since birth. I give him all the credit for the music that he makes but those connections definitely help.
Budgie (the UK producer he's worked with) openly says he's able to sample and loop up all those gospel vocal samples because his dad owns the label of those sampled artists - Al might have a similar setup
The art he makes is important, and I fully support it. Not trying to diminish that at all. He clearly has a strong team supporting
