NES was before my time, but my neighbor was older and had one. We'd play Battle Toads and Super Mario Bros 3, but I don't think we EVER made it past the fukking turbo tunnel :mjcry:

Stumbled across an in-depth walkthrough of the whole game, how in the fukk did nikkas back in the day beat this shyt?

I usually don't watch videos like this, but I was fascinated to see how fukking insane this game is. Props to any OG brehs who beat this game back in the pre internet days, Jesus Christ :merchant:. Brehs must have replayed it 500+ times to get all the patterns down and shyt

Never seen anyone beat it in person. We didn't own the game, would just rent it on and off when we feeling lucky.

I didn't have Nintendo power either so yeah, fml.

I beat Ghosts and Goblins for NES and SNES as a kid. I didn't really like the NES battletoads at the time and didnt have the patience for that little speed bike portion.
Back then a game might drop 2 3x a year so you had to play whatever you had until perfection because it was gonna be awhile before any new games dropped :manny:

Bruh re-read what you just posted it makes no sense whatsoever. If you were a kid back in the day you only got games for Christmas or your birthday so you played the shyt out of those games because thats all you had.

Bruh the NES has like 800 games but was only a major console for about 7 years. You said a game dropped 2 to 3 times a year, nikka thats 21 games, but if we use the 800 games total number that means according to you 3 times a year about 40 games would release. Makes no sense. Games released more than twice a year, you were a kid so you didnt really keep up with release dates like that.

The only way you knew a release date was if the catalog ad in the back of the EGM was correct or you saw a commercial. Anyone who read them old school EGMs knows the ad im talking about. And those magazines didnt even come out till 3 years into the NES life cycle. What would happen is your birthday would roll around, or in your case you saved enough for your allowance, then you would go to Toys R Us and choose from whatever the hell was in there. Adventure Island may have come out in September but since you werent getting a game till Christmas the game might as well have come out on Christmas as far as you were concerned.

They would drop one game at a time, about 3 times a year yet somehow the NES ended up with like 800 games.

 Yep, Same here! Though we still got games by trading with each other. We would bring stacks of games to school and swap out. Or go to each others house and play also. :patrice:
