This thread is pathetic, Paul Pierce is a legend and one of the greats, there's no way he would be this way if he wasn't in the proper physical form. Looks can be deceiving, just cause he doesn't look in shape doesn't mean he isn't.

lol paul pierce isnt slow, hes just not an explosive leaper. hes kind of like carmelo in a sense hes got quickness but cant jump as high as you'd expect

It's not a measure of overall athleticism it's a measure of short bursts and how frequently and effectively players use them. Pierce does it a lot because he uses timing and hesitation a lot to get himself open.
