It was a hot song that retroactively became wack because it was cool to clown him for it.

"Oochie Wally" was one of the biggest club records at the time it dropped. I was a sophomore in College when it came out and that track had so many females open. That Beat, those Flutes, Those girls singing in the back, that rachet hook just flowed so well, lol. I've always loved EZ ELPEE beats cause of his work with Biggie and Bad Boy (Get Money is a Classic).

Dope song. The idea that Nas was supposed to lay down a mind-blowing narrative on a party record is stupid.

that beat was banging & hook was catchy but ye it was pretty horrendous looking back. Them qb swaggerless nikkas just came across mad corny. cam or biggavell woulda swagged over it & made it a classic

have u heard the other nas tracks off that album?

that nikka was spittin flames

Hell Yeah. The "QB's FINEST" album had so many bangers. NaS went the fukk In. OMG. "Da Bridge 2000" where he got Bleek back after the NaStradamus/What you think of that/My Mind Made Right situation. "Find Ya Wealth" could of actually been on one of NaS albums, it was that good. "Self Conscience" with Prodigy was amazing. Bravehearts came through on "Kids in the PJ's" as well as NaS. I LOVED "Street Glory", it was just amazing. "Real N!ggas" and "Teenage Thug" were OK but not bad at all.

It's funny that "Oochie Wally" on the LP didn't have NaS on it, lol when he was the executive producer and was on so many songs. That's so funny cause Jay tried to say NaS didn't want his crew to shine when it was NaS that made the LP version about them. But Jay was right. Horse verse was better than NaS, so was Jungle. People love to bring up "NaStradamus" but "QB's Finest" was the album to me that put NaS on the road to "STILLmatic". I wish NaS spit a verse over "Power Rap" and that sick Havoc loop, OMG:
