Don't know if its been mentioned but the beat was originally going to be for Busta Rhymes Anarchy album but he already had too many tracks recorded so he passed on it. I beat he regretted that shyt when the track blew up

This had a lot less impact on Nas's career than people state. It was a club track and Nas has done a few of those prior to Oochie Wallie. Nobody gave him this type of flack in the 'Did you ever Think' remix with R Kelly. It was what it was. I hated the song personally but it was a hit song regardless.
