Didn't realize making friends as an adult was this much of a challenge

Avoided making friends at work because work is to make $$$ not to make friends. Besides in corporate America, coworkers are not your friends. Sure they be cool, but there's a lot of work politics and drama involved, there are exceptions though.

It's far easier to make friends outside of work. Sports (basketball courts if you hoop), festivals, dance classes, parks (I met so many people such as musicians and artists from Washington Square Park), art events, concerts, traveling, drugs (smoking weed), social media, hobbies, etc

The problem is adults are very guarded in general they're already complacent with the company they have. When we were kids we just walked to other kids and started .playing with them
"What's your favorite color"
"Blue"
"Mines too"

"You like chocolate cookies"
Yeah"
Me too!"

Children are honest open minded and far more approachable. Children just want to have fun. As adults we take this for granted as we get older because we're hardened by the trials and tribulations of reality.

Befriend more women especially if you travel in different cities/states/countries. Female company is nice from time to time.

Last time I was single just sitting in my apartment I decided that I had to start getting out. Luckily, I lived in walking distance of about 30 bars and restaurants. So I would just go out by myself and force myself to spend an hour at whatever spot. Then I started making sure I spoke to x number of women per outing. Fast forward a few months and I had become a regular at one spot and started bringing something home every few weeks or so. Good times. Met me a long term gf during that spell.

Now I am in almost the exact same situation. But I am exhausted with the night life and the boogie. But I still have to get out there. Cause that's where everything is. Outside of my crib. I been going out some but haven't quite clicked in with the scene here (as far as meeting anyone new)

Does everybody just talk to people they meet in highschool or childhood? I don't know how adults make friends, it's so difficult. I plan on moving soon and I have to start all over. How does a adult make friends? Help me out

You want to get close with other men? :dame:

@Ghost Utmost that's pretty dope. What city did you live in back then when you used to live near all those bars and restaurants?
