People who are scared of planes and skydiving fail to realize you have a much higher chance of getting killed in your beloved vehicle going to work, the supermarket or going to church.

Flying and activities in the air statistically are more safer than anything on wheel on the ground. Makes sense since the air things are tested to be perfect.

Flying is actually way more safer then driving and catching the train.

Being on a train is way more safer than driving tho. I would put trains on the same level of planes.

Basically being a train operator or engineer or pilot takes some serious responsibility.

Meanwhile in America you got people on the road who are licenses who do not know how to operate a vehicle.

i dont "like" flying. makes me nervous, but it NEVER stopped me. i fly all the time. got 2 trips in the next 3 weeks planned.

the speed isnt a big deal, you dont notice it at all. i get nervous during takeoff because it feels less stable but during the actual flight its fine.
that being said i dont really like flying because im pretty tall and i never feel like i have enough space in my seat.

True but it's a percentage game. Average person driving everyday, flying maybe 2 or 4 times a year depending on trips and whether it's round trip or not. And cars have a higher chance of survival cuz of having more control and less passengers. Rare that I hear about fatal car crashes where a full five person car all died but maybe I just never notice.

Anyways driving is more dangerous cuz you don't see any drunk flyers or texting and flying like some people do. Like myself.

shyt was crazy.
I was looking out the window thinking how nice it looked being in/above clouds, then I hear the pilot get on the intercom saying something about briefly flying through a storm cloud. A few mins later I look out the window and see a lightning bolt hit the left wing of the plane, and then the plane descended a few hundred feet. Mind you this is my first time on a plane solo, so I kept my composure and hit the face

But internally I was praying my ass off

My big issues the flying is the actual process of going to the airport since it will never be in a city center and then dealing with security.

Also it seems like airliners are finding more ways to jam seats into these jets and you just don’t have space. You’re next to strangers and the whole experience is too close for comfort. Flying economy is dreadful for a 5+ hour flight and i could only imagine what a flight to Hong Kong would be like if you didn’t have room to move freely. shyt, riding coach in an Amtrak train is more comfy than being in a plane and at least you can pick your own seat on that bytch. For as big as most modern planes are, the shyt is too damn cramped.

Now I can see why folks who have the means will drop $10k on an Emirates flight and get treated like a king. Some of these foreign airliners make the domestics look like they are transporting you in a fukking Ford Model T

It could be a lot better. And the airliners won’t make it better because it’s not like people have other alternatives.

I hate flying. I've done it a few times but I get panic attacks. I was talking to my girl about going on a trip and just the thought of getting on a plane gave me instant diarrhea

Thing is I fly a lot. I have to have specific seats or I’m miserable the entire flight. I hate that shyt... everything about it.

I had one flight recently where I checked the flight all the way up to the night of the flight and there was no one seated next to me.

Suddenly I get on the plane and they got me in between some random ass couple. I told them I’m a disabled vet and needed and aisle seat and they moved me into one of the special reserved seats with extra space and shyt.

DLs are pretty much given out to anyone after a certain age.

There are a lot of stupid incompetent disabled addicted too old too young with rich parents idgaf drivers on the road today.

Driver error is the main cause of car accidents. I can prevent that.

Being 30,000 feet in the air and dying in the worlds most horrific roller coaster cause somebody forgot to tighten a screw is a different level of fear.
