hes a top 2 or 3 strong safety in the league IMO

hes had a great year. dont have a beef with that. you can argue quinn maybe. but really, there are more weird choices than weddle for the all pros. I mean, I think bobby wagner is a beast, but he really should not have gotten an all pro for this year

except weddle plays free safety (he can play SS or slot CB in pinch tho)

What makes Weddle really good is that he can come up to the line of scrimmage and cause havoc. He is really flexible. He is not the greatest safety but he is an asset and a plus on a defense that has serious holes.

how so ? mccourty has been a very good, underrated safety ever since switching to safety (and honestly he wasnt a bad cb either besides that one uncharacteristically bad year). Im a fan of his play too.
I dont think he had a better year than weddle. and he has the luxury of playing with a much better all-around secondary too right now.

People keep forgetting that Weddle has been the only consistent DB on our squad. He's had to overcompensate for the holes in our Def
dude has been one of the only consistent players on that defense for what 10 years now, and is still highly productive on that defense.
I'm not the biggest fan of him but he is far from a bum.
