Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
They wanted to win cheap, with a lot of these franchises that arent about winning try to do. You have a generational talent like that you have to be like fukk salary caps and taxes, get him what he needs.

Nah, they had one of the highest payrolls in the league, they were definitely spending they just couldn't get the top tier or even 2nd tier free agents. Also, Ferry never made a run at Joe Johnson, which I thought was weird, basically once they didn't get Michael Redd they just went after a bunch of 3rd and 4th tier players.

They won 66 and 61 games in his last 2 seasons there. Seemed to be doing just fine with the pieces they supplied him with.

Also i think the cavs bet on bron never leaving because of growing up around there but damn...... He was killing himself carring that team all season and the playoffs...you mean to tell me they could not package sideshow and some others for a powerforward or something?

TYRONE GA!
their former GM paxson let boozer walk trusting his word, dude also traded a 1st round pick for jiri welsh..and passed on adre iguadala..

Yup. But to be honest, he did built the team perfectly around Bron's strengths (rebounders, spot up shooters). If Booz had stayed, who knows....:yeshrug:

For the most part Cleveland got good too fast to get multiple top 5-7 picks after drafting Bron.

Rose is going through the same thing in Chicago. Playoffs with a mediocre team his first 2 seasons. Third season, best record in the NBA and ECF. Fourth season, best record in the NBA, but we know how that ended.

They just had a clusterfukk of absolutely awful GM work, and a location that not many FA's want to sign in. Jim Paxson set that franchise back YEARS long before they got LeBron, but then again, had he not been such a shytty GM they never would have won the lottery to draft him. Also, it doesn't help that LeBron was good right out of the gate and limited their ability to get a high draft pick.

Some of Jim Paxson's gems -

- Drafted Luke Jackson 10th, left Al Jefferson and Josh Smith on the board.
- Let Boozer out of his deal on a verbal agreement which is against NBA rules, so they could try and sign him below market value, all they had to do was wait a year to lock him up.
- Traded a first round pick for Jiri Welsch (Turned out to be Rudy Fernandez)

That doesn't even address the fact he took Dajuan Wagner over Amare & Nene

I think Ferry did a good job considering what he had to work with, Paxson is a historically bad GM. The only knock on Ferry is pulling Hickson out of the Amare trade at the last minute, and opting for Jamison instead. LeBron leaving could be traced back to the shyt job Paxson did as a GM, dude was on some CPU NBA 2k13 type trade & draft logic, he's the type of GM that makes me think I could have done a much better job.

Yup this about covers it. It was almost as if Paxson was trying to see how many fukked up moves he could put together back to back :heh:. Coulda had a front line of Bron, Boozer in his prime, and Jefferson but ended up with Bron, and the corpses of Ben Wallace and Big Z . The location didn't help either as nobody was trying to go to Cleveland. It says a lot when the best FA you can attract, with a once in a generation level talent like Bron in tow, is Larry Hughes.

when the cavs go to the playoffs the other team did not fear anyone else and just zoned in on bron....:why:

Exactly. They were the quintessential regular season team. Once playoff time rolled around, the game slowed down and somebody other than Bron had to step up it was a wrap.

TYRONE GA!
imagine..

pg- Mo williams/boobie gibson/ rudy fermandez
sg - larry hughes/delonte west/shannon brown
sf - bron/moon
pf - boozer/ben wallace/varejao
c - big z/ amare stoudemire

good team there.

Hughes became a spot up shooter under Bron. Same shyt would have happened to iggy if he was there. Booz fukking them over was the killer IMO. And they should've traded for Amare too. I know he said he wouldn't resign, but if they won a ring, I think they could have convinced him.

Nah, Larry became a spot up shooter because that's what he wanted to do and he was almost always injured, Iguodala was able to function with AI's ball hogging ass for 2 seasons, he and Bron would have been able to exist together. Plus, the perimeter defense between LeBron and Iguodala would have been some otherworld shyt.

Looking at all the informed post in this thread...I can't help but think: This is the franchise you think Bron is going back to in 2014? :pachaha:

Southern California…
Instead of the cavs and there fans hoping lebron comeback in 2014, they better hope kyrie come back first...

anyway lebron is not heading back...he's either staying in miami base of the health of wade or he breaking out west off the strength of magic johnson talking him to play with the lakers..
