EDIT: Just looked it up, 60 day suspension that summer for wellness violation led to them switching to the Trips shyt which occupied Brock's next three matches, and after that all of Brock's matches have basically written themselves.

Believe what you want to, fam. Just do a google of "Randy Orton Brock Lesnar SummerSlam 2012" and you'll see all the stories of the "reputable" dirtsheetz/rumorz saying in April that Brock was facing Randy that summer. Drug violation in May is only when that changes.
