Correct but the Sahel region dropped from 7 to 5 still the only region in the world with that birth rate but yeah globally theres a birth slowdown.

It's actually a fail safety for mammals in general. There is an experiment (can't remember the name) with mice. It's been replicated over and over.

In the experiment once mice get to certain populations, they literally kill off the whole population and stop reproducing.

It's eerie how much their behavior starts to look like the current human culture.

Look at how the work environment is in Japan. There’s a reason office workers pass out in the middle of the street.
