Don't try to undermine the talent and ear for music some of these kids have because they're able to regularly churn out sonic masterpieces...and make it seem so effortless.

I listen to drill alot more than trap shyt...which uses the same production techniques & tools...and i'm like sometimes when i randomly click on some no name unknown drill rapper, with a random no name unknown drill producer and the shyt u'll be one of the hardest beats i ever heard.

I remember back in 06 I got a Timbo/Danjahandz soundpack for FL Studio and thought I was cooking up piff

Those claps and snares though in that pack were ..especially the beatboxing mixed with the claps/snares

My 4 year old can out-do most people ages 23 and up on laptops, desktops, tablets...Android, Ios, Windows. H..these young boys were raised with computers so it's nothing to not have to worry about a job and spend your whole day or FL Studio clicking buttons to see what it sounds like. If you are using the standard packs and vsts that come with it then it will always sound like electronic bullshyt. You gotta "buy" vsts or sample packs or make your own samples from live instruments. Then again, there's so many ways to manipulate sound waves that if you were good you probably could get away with just the defaults setup. Ppl try to shyt on FL but if you know what you're doing on this internet you can accomplish some things

And a lot of the times trap beats really aint shyt. I think those sick drum patterns in a lot of trap beats are making you think the shyt is complicated

Trap lacks musicality. It's rare To see someone with a musical background or ear for hip hop beats be able to create monster trap beats.
