stay at 10% credit usage if you have a credit card, and always pay it on time

if you have a $500 dollar credit limit
only use $50

if you have $1000 credit limit only use $100

Quick question about utilization,

So basically leave 7% on my balance until the statement date & pay it off the following month correct?

Right now my utilization is 0

If you're trying to game your score and show utilization, you'll leave 7% on your card. When you get the bill it's essentially a snapshot in time and that 7% will report to the agencies. You can then pay it off.

A lotta people just pay people with good credit to put them as an authorized user to beef up their score or start over with a CPN

Man I started my credit building back in 2020….

Just having practical habits and sticking to a routine…. I dramatically increased my credit score and my limit is like 20 times higher than what it was in 2020
