Really doe, call the shop and make your appointment with your new barber “Ron”. Meanwhile, your old barber, “Jon” will be there, and when you get there pretend like it was an accident, your old barber will already have someone in the chair.

Weak minded and fearful?

I have simply requested the barber I wanted in the past too, if the one I allowed to cut my hair messed up too many times. Can't be going through this life fearful about where and with whom to spend your money.
I go to a barbershop not a hair salon, if you know, you know :yeshrug:

Every black man has gone and goes to barbershops. I have never been in one where the one f'ing up your head is allowed to continue to do it because you can't change your barber. The only way I see a person allowing that to happen is a person who is too fearful to actually speak up.

I don't understand this.

It's your money. You can choose whichever barber you want. If the crap barber shows attitude then tell him you pay him half the normal price if he wants to cut your hair

You people are crazy. I be going to barber shops and pointing who I want to cut my hair

Breh, I have an entire thread on this. I did it because my original guy went on vacation, and had the another guy taking his clients. They were excellent cuts. The next time I booked, I asked for a few different times, as if I didn’t know when I was available, and asked for one when he wasn’t there. Then I asked for the new guy, and he was available.

:lolbron:

But this only worked once, because they caught on, and the girl who works at the desk just said, “You want to book new barber?”

:manny:

Me:

:francis:

And that was that. New guy had the chair next to the old guy, and it was awkward. But it’s my money, and my hair. Now I go to a barber in a salon suite, which is a much better experience, but he’s moving to Nashville, and has limited availability, so I have to go back to the old shop.

But all this would be less awkward had the shop had online booking. I hate having to call for an appointment, or stand there to make the next one. I like the shops you can pay the barber directly, and book individually with an app.
